The Chief Executive Officer of Winter Place, Engr. Obi Njoku, has been honoured with the Most Outstanding Igbo Personality of the Year in Business by the Igbo Prestigious Awards Initiative, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to business development, entrepreneurship and economic advancement within the Igbo nation.
The award was presented to him by former Inspector General of Police, Chief Mike Okiro
at a colourful ceremony in Abuja, where several distinguished personalities from different sectors were also recognised for their contributions to society.
Speaking after receiving the award, Engr. Njoku expressed appreciation to the organisers for the honour, describing it as a recognition that would inspire him to contribute even more to economic growth, innovation and job creation.
“This recognition is deeply humbling. I dedicate it to my team, our partners and clients whose confidence in our vision has made this journey possible. The organisers said the award was in recognition of Engr. Njoku’s exemplary leadership, entrepreneurial excellence and his sustained contributions to the growth of indigenous enterprise, describing him as one of the leading business figures shaping the economic fortunes of the Igbo people and Nigeria at large.
Engr. Njoku’s Winter Place, a subsidiary of Njame Consulting Limited, is widely regarded as a premier destination for central air conditioning, ventilation and home appliance solutions in Nigeria. The company specialises in delivering cutting-edge Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) solutions for residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
A graduate of the Mechanical Engineering Department of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Engr. Njoku has over 15 years of professional experience spanning diverse areas of engineering and business development.
He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
