Super Eagles and Chelsea legend, John Mikel Obi has shown his maturity after telling Nicolas Jackson that he won’t stop criticism of the Chelsea striker unless he keeps scoring weekly.
Jackson told Mikel, “Shut your mouth, don’t talk sh*t, we are killing ourselves for Africa. Show some respect.”, following Chelsea’s victory against Wolves, on social media platform Instagram.
The Senegal striker scored Chelsea’s fastest Premier League goal in six years, netting in just 98 seconds in the Blues 6-2 win at Molineux.
Mikel Obi a football pundit responded: “I enjoyed this win. Nicolas Jackson played really well. Not just the goal, I thought his link-up play today was really good. He was superb”
“I think he (Nicolas Jackson) knows that he can improve and get better in terms of his finishing and what I’ve said is what I’ve said and I stand by it.
“If he plays well, I will praise him. If there’s something to say about him where he needs to improve, I will definitely say it… If he scores every week and tells me to shut up, I will take it”
