In a major development, top Nigerian politicians, including Peter Obi, Achike Udenwa, and Emeka Ihedioha, have thrown their weight behind the African Democratic Congress (ADC) South East zonal leadership’s bid to strengthen party unity and stability.
A statement signed by the National Vice Chairman of the party, Bon Unachukwu, and the Zonal Secretary, Maurice Ede, after the meeting, also announced its decision to withdraw all pending court cases involving party members in the region, as part of efforts to restore harmony and foster a united front for effective political participation.
The move follows a high-level strategic meeting in Enugu State, attended by eminent leaders and stakeholders, where the leadership unanimously adopted key resolutions aimed at repositioning the party for greater political relevance.

The meeting resolved to intensify grassroots mobilisation, deepen stakeholder engagement, and strengthen party structures across all levels in preparation for forthcoming political activities and electoral engagements.
The development marks a significant shift towards unity and cohesion within the party, with the leadership committing to promote discipline and sustain a stable and credible political structure across the South East.
