Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has endorsed Omimi Wonder Garri and Fish Powder—two fortified foods developed by Nigerian monarch and agripreneur HRH Eze (Dr.) Emma Saint George Ekeh—describing them as “life-saving innovations Nigeria urgently needs.”
Obasanjo, who received the products at the OOPL, Abeokuta, said the high-protein, vitamin-rich foods offer a powerful local response to rising hunger, child malnutrition, and insecurity across the country.

According to the makers, Omimi Wonder Garri is the world’s first fortified cassava product, packing 32g of protein and 35 micronutrients per 100g. Health experts say it can support immune strength, mental alertness, and physical endurance—making it suitable for the military, IDP camps, and school feeding programmes.
Calling the product “a turning point in Nigeria’s nutrition story,” Obasanjo urged government agencies and development partners to adopt it widely. The innovation is already gaining traction abroad, including in The Gambia, where it is used in a leading IVF hospital.
Eze Ekeh said the mission is to transform cassava into a protein-rich superfood capable of strengthening families and national health.
