The Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) has commenced the payment of February 2026 salaries to Federal Government treasury-funded workers following a brief delay.
According to a statement issued by the Office’s Spokesperson, Mr Bawa Mokwa, salary payments began on Monday, March 2, 2026, after the resolution of a technical glitch that disrupted the payroll process.
The Office explained that the delay was caused by a system error but assured workers that the issue had been fully addressed. It added that necessary safeguards have been introduced to prevent a recurrence in subsequent salary cycles.
In addition to the February salary payments, the OAGF confirmed that it has received approval and concluded the process for the payment of one month wage award arrears out of the three months outstanding.
The development is expected to bring relief to treasury-funded employees who had expressed concerns over the delayed payment.
