The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a postponement in the commencement date for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course in Sokoto and Niger States.

In a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the scheme attributed the delay to ongoing renovations at both orientation camps by their respective state governments.

Under the revised schedule, the orientation course will now commence on Wednesday, August 12, with the swearing-in ceremony taking place on Friday, August 14. The closing ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

The Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, advised prospective corps members to avoid night travel and wished them safe journeys to their respective camps.
