NYSC extends Sokoto, Niger orientation camp resumption

The management of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the extension in the commencement date for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course in two states of Sokoto and Niger.

The statement by Caroline Embu, Director, Information and Public Relations, announcing the delay in the commencement, attributed it to the ongoing renovation works in both Orientation Camps by their respective State governments.

According to statement; “In furtherance to the above, the new date for the commencement of the Orientation Course is Wednesday 12th August, while the Cut-Off/Swearing-in Ceremony date is Friday 14th August, while the Closing Ceremony holds on Tuesday 1st September, 2026.

“All Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) are advised to avoid embarking on night travels to their Orientation Camps.

“The Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, wishes all PCMs safe travels to their Orientation Camps,” the statement read.
