The Onyendu Ndigbo in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and Bobaselu of Ejigbo Land, Dr Alex Nwoye has commended the Obi of Uga, HRH Igwe Chidi Steven Ezenwugo, HRH Igwe Goddy Obiorah of Achina, and HRM Igwe Chidubem Iweka for their support and presence at the inauguration of Ndindu Ndigbo in Lagos.
The inauguration, which was held on October 3, brought together prominent Igbo traditional rulers, leaders, and stakeholders from across Lagos and the South East.
The Obi of Uga was represented at the event by High Chief Goddy Umeugoji (Chidera Na Uga), Chairman/CEO, Today’s Exclusive Hotel and Suites, Ejigbo, who led a delegation of chiefs from Uga.
In a goodwill message to the monarch, Onyedu Nwoye, who is also Ochiriozuo na uga, expressed appreciation to Ezenwugo for sending a high-powered delegation of chiefs to join the revered South East traditional rulers at the ceremony.
He also commended the Obi of Onitsha, HRM Nnaemeka Achebe (Agbogidi); HRM Eze E.C. Okeke; HRM Igwe Lawrence Agubuzor; HRM Igwe Chidubem Iweka, Chairman, Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council; HRM Eze Linus Mbah, Chairman, South-East Council of Traditional Rulers; HRM Eze Charles Mkpuma; and HRM Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu, among other dignitaries, for honouring the occasion.
Also speaking, the Onyendu of Mushin, Peter Umeh, expressed appreciation to Ndigbo in Mushin for their impressive representation at the event.

Umeh also commended the Obi of Uga, HRH Igwe Ezenwugo, for his fatherly support to the people of Uga at the ceremony.
“I also congratulate all the certified Ndindus, the Regularisation and Planning Committee for the successful ceremony and work well done,” Umeh said.
While commending the Chairman on the occasion, Chief Nnamdi Obi, for his fatherly advice, Nwoye also thanked the Chief Charles Odunukwe-led Regularisation Committee and its Secretary, Prince Ubochi Ubochi, for what he described as a job well done.
Nwoye noted that even before the exercise, he was the first Eze in Lagos to align with the advice of the South-East traditional rulers to accept the Onyendu Ndigbo nomenclature.
“I shall work with the framework and continue to ensure peace and unity among Ndigbo in Ejigbo and Lagos State,” he said.
