Nwifuru wife’s brother, Umahi’s son pick LG chairmanship forms in Ebonyi

Chidi Henry Nwode, younger brother of Mrs. Mary-Maudline Nwifuru the  wife of Ebonyi State Governor and first son of the Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi, Osborne Umahi, have purchased chairmanship forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the forthcoming local government and councilorship elections in the state.

While Umahi will contest in his Ohaozara Local Government Area, Nwode will contest in Ikwo Local Government Area.

Umahi picked his form at the weekend while Nwode picked his own this week.

The two aspirants were accompanied to the APC secretariat in Abakaliki by their relatives,  friends, associates and family members to purchase their forms.

Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, the state Chairman of the party, sold the forms to the chairmanship aspirants.

Emegha hailed Nwode and Umahi and described them as  intelligent and capable young politicians who has the ability to take their councils to greater heights.

Speaking to Reporters, Osbourne Umahi thanked the people of Ohaozara for nominating him to contest for the position.

He promised not to disappoint the confidence the people have reposed in him.

On what to expect from his administration,  Umahi said being a youth,his main focus will be on youth empowerment.

He also promised to carry on the legacy of his father in infrastructure development across the local government.
