Nwifuru donates vehicles to security agencies in Ebonyi

Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, on Thursday donated three Hilux vans to some security agencies in the state.

The governor made the donation in his office at centenary city, Abakaliki.

Handing over the vehicles to the benefitting security agencies, Nwifuru who was represented by his Senior Special Assistant, Uchenna Nwankpuma said donation was made to ensure adequate mobility for security agencies in line with their statutory responsibilities of security of lives and properties.

He enjoined the Heads of the benefitting security agencies to ensure use of the vehicles only in combating crime and criminality in the state.

The state Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Elijah Willie thanked the Governor for the gesture and assured that the state’s security architecture would receive a boost through the donation.

The benefitting security agencies included; Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Correctional Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
