Engr. Nugalanumo Timex Pekene, a distinguished Chemical/Petrochemical Engineer and Project Management Professional (PMP), began building his personal brand in 2013 after serving as a Project Field Engineer at Brass LNG.

His journey is deeply rooted in a commitment to solving socioeconomic challenges in the Niger Delta, where he witnessed the disparity between abundant natural resources and local empowerment.

Driven by a desire to sustainably harness oil and gas resources for national development, Engr. Pekene pursued Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering.

Recognizing a gap between technical execution and strategic project delivery, he further trained in Project Management, Business Analysis, and Procurement and Supply, eventually transitioning into training and consulting.

His brand is inspired by excellence, empowerment, and impact, aiming to build local capacity and champion professionalism in the energy and industrial sectors.

Since 2010, Engr. Pekene has been adding value to the community. He started with “The Fullpower Time” at the Information Center in Okpoama Brass, offering self and performance-building tips. He has organized numerous capacity development programs, impacting over 5,000 individuals through lectures, training, articles, and consulting.

Notably, he participated in a technology transfer project in Catalysis in Denmark with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). Today, he mentors young professionals to bridge talent gaps in the oil and gas industry and collaborates with NCDMB training contractors in areas like Project Management, Oil & Gas Engineering, and Entrepreneurship Management.

Engr. Pekene’s expertise is backed by training from Bechtel Corporation, with experience across oil and gas, construction, and more. He excels in strategic planning, team leadership, and operational efficiency.

He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management in Construction from the University of Salford, a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Rivers State University of Science & Technology, and certifications from PMI and CIPS. He was awarded by the Nigeria Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE) for his outstanding technical paper on advancements in catalyst design for cleaner fuel production.

Looking ahead, Engr. Pekene plans to release two professional books: “The Professional Negotiator” and “How to Make it Big as a Project Management Consultant.” He is also conducting research at the University of Lagos on Dynamic Modeling of Bioreactor processes, aiming to enhance decision-making and improve process efficiency in biomanufacturing.
