Nshuti vows to nail
Super Eagles in Kigali
Innocent Nshuti insists he wants to score against Nigeria and the other teams in the group to help Rwanda increase hopes of qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The One Knoxville forward had his name back on the scoreboard as his lone goal in the second half rescued a point for Rwanda after a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Libya in Tripoli last Wednesday.
Rwanda returns to action today as they host the Super Eagles of Nigeria, who thrashed Benin 3-0 at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, but Nshuti is only focused on keeping his goal-scoring momentum no matter the opponent.
“As a striker, I should score always, but we work as a team, and if one scores, it is a team goal, so we have to be one, That’s the way we play. When strikers score goals, their confidence goes up, and I am happy to score that goal, and I believe I can do more going forward,” Nshuti said.
