NPFL: Ilechukwu urges Rangers players to stay focused after Bayelsa win

Fidelis-Ilechukwu

Technical adviser of Rangers International, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has urged his players to remain focused despite their impressive away victory over Bayelsa United in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Flying Antelopes secured a vital win on the road to maintain their position at the top of the NPFL table, boosting their title ambitions as the season approaches its crucial stage.

Speaking after the match, Ilechukwu praised his team’s performance but warned against complacency in the remaining fixtures of the campaign.

“It was a good game for us. I’m happy but we must not lose concentration. It was a great game,” Ilechukwu said.

The Rangers coach, however, expressed dissatisfaction with his side’s display in the second half, while commending the defensive unit and goalkeeper for their efforts.

“I’m not too happy with the second half because we didn’t play well, but our defenders did well and our goalkeeper played their roles well,” he added.

Rangers will now shift attention to their next league fixture as they continue their push for the NPFL title.
