Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Ms Hadiza Bala Usman, yesterday harped on the importance for all agencies at the ports to contribute to the successful implementation of the ease of doing business at the ports.
Usman who was represented by the Executive Director, Marine and Operations, Dr Sokonte Huttin Davies at the stakeholders forum, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, stressed that management on its part would work towards creating an enabling environment for stakeholders to operate optimally.
The forum was organised by NPA with a view to identifying areas of needs in order for the authority to engender greater operational efficiency at the nation’s seaports.
The occasion attracted contributions from operators concerning their expectations from management who promised to give prompt attention to issues arising from the session.
Present were the Executive Director, Engineering and Technical Services, Professor Idris Abubakar, General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Communications, Abdullahi Goje and the Port Managers of Onne and Port Harcourt Ports, Alhassan Ismail Abubakar and Umar Abubakar Garba.
