Lawyer, Deji Adeyanju said the excitement generated by the appointment of General Christopher Musa (rtd) as Minister of Defence is misplaced.
He said this in a Facebook post on Wednesday, hours after Musa scaled a five-hour confirmation screening at the Senate.
President Bola Tinubu appointed Musa as Defence Minister after the previous occupant, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, resigned on health grounds on Monday.

Many Nigerians had hailed the appointment of Musa, who was relieved of his position as Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) in October.
But Adeyanju took a contrary stance, insisting the new minister might underperform.
He said, “Mark this post. Absolutely nothing will come out of the appointment of General Chris Musa as Minster of Defence, a talkative who failed as CDS but I join the prayer warriors praying for him to succeed since we have turned a simple thing like governance to a prayer venture.”
