The Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, was at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja yesterday, where he met with both the Minister of Defence, Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar, and the Minister of State for Defence, Mohammed Bello Matawalle.
The trio, who met behind closed doors, discussed matters of national importance, especially how to strength the synergy between the federal and state governments to reinforce security measures, particularly in the Northern region and across Nigeria.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya, known for his unrelenting effort towards maintaining peace and tranquility in Gombe State, has always been harping on the need for a unified approach and leveraging both federal and state resources to enhance security infrastructure and operations.
