The North Central Development Commission (NCDC) has taken over its headquarters complex in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital.
This marked the formal commencement of operations after the Managing Director, Dr. Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil and the management team were inaugurated.
Speaking at the ceremony in Government House Lafia, Governor Sule said as host state for the headquarters of the NCDC, Nasarawa considers it a duty to do everything possible to make sure the organisation starts off on the right footing.
He acknowledged the passion of President Bola Tinubu towards developing all parts of the country which aligned with the yearnings of the states and National Assembly for transforming the north central.
While pledging support to the Commission, Governor Sule challenged them to work with every state and treat each one fairly.
Chairman of the Commission, Cosmas Ternenge Akighir, appreciated the governor for his passion and demonstrating leadership which has culminated into the donation of the office complex.

Managing Director/CEO NCDC, Dr. Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil, joined the chairman to pay glowing tribute to the governor, who apart from donating a take off office complex at the headquarters in Lafia, also provided a temporary liaison office space in Abuja.
Dr. Tsenyil described the gesture of the Governor as a sign of a mutual working relationship that will exist between the NCDC and Nasarawa State as well as other member-states.
The MD/CEO said the Commission has already started consultations and other engagements that will be enhanced to make sure that no project is duplicated in the states or local Governments while ensuring collaboration rather than competition.
Chairman of the North Central Caucus at the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Idris Wase represented by Hon. John Dafaan assured the Commission that the National Assembly remains committed to supporting the agency as it works to impact the lives of the people.
Thereafter, the Governor led other government officials to hand over the building to the NCDC.
The Board and management later paid a courtesy call on the Emir of Lafia HRH Justice Sidi Bage who described the establishment of the Commission as a good omen for the development of the North Central Zone.
He expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who fulfilled his promise to push for rapid development of the entire region and the country at large.
