Non-indigenes in Ogun State have pledged support for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 election, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.
The coordinator of the group, Ambassador Tony Momoh, disclosed this in an interactive session with journalists in Lagos at the weekend.
Momoh, who is also the Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement in the South-South region for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, disclosed that after weighing the options, the leadership of non-indigenes living in Ogun State resolved to vote for Adeola.
He said that the decision was taken after a thorough assessment of the credentials of the front-runners in the election and their chances of winning the election.
According to Momoh, Sen. Adeola, who is also known as Yayi, ranked top among other contestants in their assessment.
“His pedigree speaks for him. Yayi is a politician who has delivered the dividends of democracy to his people more than any other federal legislator. He is a man who takes the interest of the people at heart.

“As non-indigenes, we strongly believe that we are going to benefit from his government because he is very accommodating.
“I urge every non-indigene in the state to obtain their voter’s card, and ensure that they vote for Sen. Adeola during the governorship election in Ogun State.”
He described Sen. Adeola as a grassroots politician who has over the years devoted his resources to making life comfortable for his people.
Momoh assured that despite distractions coming from opposition political parties and Adeola’s rivals in the governorship race, the APC candidate will emerge as the preferred choice of the people.
He also stated that since all the major political blocs in Ogun State have agreed that it is the turn of Yewa to produce the next governor, Adeola has proven himself to be the most capable hand for the job.
