It was an atmosphere of worship, thanksgiving, testimonies and spiritual reflection as Nollywood stars gathered to celebrate 10-years-in-ministry of US-based Nigerian gospel artiste and cleric, Queen Belemzy.
The anniversary, which held at The Kairos Hub, Lekki, Lagos, brought together notable actors, comedians and other entertainers who joined the celebrant for a praise and worship session that included ministrations, performances, comedy and testimonies.
Those who graced the occasion were former President of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas; Segun Arinze, Victor Osuagwu, Doris Ogala, Uche Ogbodo, Sunny McDon, Tony Akposheri, Kingsley Ogbonna aka Dauda, Onyika Emmanuel aka MC Senator, Commander C.O.C Nze, MC Obeleife, Emeka Rising Ibe, and Elder O amongst others.
Rollas, who travelled from Abuja to attend the event, urged his colleagues to strengthen their relationship with God and seek divine guidance, particularly during difficult periods.
“There are many afflictions the devil has released into the world. But when you get closer to God, to the realm where you will be guided spiritually, He will do everything for you,” he said.
For Queen Belemzy, the anniversary represented a significant milestone in a journey that began after leaving behind the glittering world of showbiz.
Born Belema Abili, Queen Belemzy recalled how she spent 15 years working as a party promoter in Houston, Texas, before experiencing what she described as a “divine encounter” that changed the course of her life.
“I was a party promoter in Houston, Texas for 15 years. I got saved by God on August 21, 2016, and the next day I started preaching as directed by the Holy Ghost,” she said.

According to Belemzy, accepting the calling was not easy. She initially struggled with the changes taking place in her life, but eventually surrendered to what she believed was God’s purpose for her.
The gospel artiste cum evangelist also recalled experiencing difficult personal circumstances, including the collapse of her marriage and the loss of her left eye, which she said eventually pushed her towards a deeper commitment to God.
The ministry, which was initially known as Princess Belemzy School of Power, has since evolved into Queen Belemzy Ministries – School of Power. Operating primarily online, the ministry has attracted followers from different parts of the world.
Belemzy said she had travelled to almost 20 countries through her ministry and had members in nearly every country, describing the past 10 years as a period of transformation and spiritual growth.
One of the most emotional moments of the Lagos celebration came when actress Doris Ogala shared her experience with Belemzy. Ogala described the cleric as her “spiritual mother” and credited her with providing spiritual support during a difficult period in her life.
The actress urged members of the entertainment industry to be careful about whom they turn to for spiritual guidance, advising them to seek genuine men and women of God.
The event was, therefore, more than a celebration for the Nollywood community. It also served as an opportunity for entertainers to reflect on faith, purpose and personal transformation.
As she looks ahead, Belemzy said she’s grateful for the journey and excited about what the future holds. She is also expected to mark her birthday on September 29 with a three-day revival in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
