Nollywood actress, Queeneth Agbo, has donated vocational equipment to support rehabilitation of inmates and also facilitated freedom for two among them through payments for their bail at the Afokang Custodial Centre in Cross River State.
The outreach was carried out through the second chance rehabilitation and empowerment programme of the Queeneth Agbo Strength Beyond Walls Foundation.
It combined social celebration with practical support to help inmates rebuild their lives after incarceration.
Agbo explained that the initiative aimed to remind inmates that they are not forgotten by society and that everyone deserves a fresh start.

The celebration featured music, a disc jockey, celebrity guests, dance competitions, comedy, and a cake-cutting ceremony, allowing inmates to join in the festivities.
The foundation donated practical vocational equipment, including industrial sewing machines, cooking stoves, hair-styling blow dryers, and dry-cleaning tools. These items are intended to provide inmates with marketable skills and economic self-reliance upon their release.
Agbo emphasised that effective rehabilitation requires a combination of compassion, emotional support, and practical tools for productive work.
She urged other private individuals and organisations to support correctional and reform efforts across the country.
