No Arsenal’s Interest in Lookman

Ademola Lookman

Drogba urges NFF, Okocha, Kanu to petition Atalanta

Report linking Arsenal with Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, who is also a target for Inter Milan has been deemed unfounded. This information comes from Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Lookman wishes to leave Atalanta this summer. The 27-year-old has made a public transfer request, claiming that La Dea (Atalanta) broke a “promise” to sell him during this transfer window. Additionally, Lookman has missed training for several days.

Lookman has expressed a strong desire to join Inter Milan.

He reportedly has already agreed on personal terms with the Nerazzurri, who have had two offers for him turned down by Atalanta.

Meanwhile, some reports from the UK suggested that Arsenal is also interested in signing the Nigerian international. However, according to Corriere dello Sport, there has been no formal approach from the Gunners to Atalanta. Currently, it appears that Inter Milan remains the leading contender to secure Lookman’s transfer.

Amid this transfer saga, Chelsea legend and former CAF Player of the Year Didier Drogba has voiced his support for Lookman. He stated: “I have urged other African legends, particularly Nigerians like Jay Jay Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo, as well as the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), to join in a petition for information regarding our brother, Ademola Lookman. We will not remain silent. I encourage all Africans to use their social media platforms to advocate for the freedom and well-being of our players worldwide. Thank you, everyone.”
