The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Osun State has applauded the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state, Dr Mutiu Agboke, saying his efforts placed the state above others in the voters registration list.
INEC had on Monday rated the state high in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise with an impressive 393,269 number of registrants put at 28.51 percent.
The state Chairman of NNPP, Dr Tosin Odeyemi in a statement made available to Daily Sun commended the efforts of Dr Agboke, saying that the record-breaking turn-out could not have been possible if not for the untiring spirit of Agboke.

He said Agboke has shown capacity to deliver right from the day INEC headquarters announced the date of 2026 gubernatorial election in Osun State.
“Dr Agboke has started the awareness for a long. He was moving from one place to another, sensitizing Osun citizens on why they need to register and collect their unclaimed voter’s cards.
“As he was giving his subordinates directives on the registration, he was also not sitting in the office. There’s nowhere in Osun State that they haven’t heard about Agboke in the last three months. “On behalf of our party, I want to commend him. Having the highest number of registrants ahead of other states in Nigeria, is never a joke. He has demonstrated that he is capable of that office.
“I want to implore him not to relent. People are watching and posterity is aware of his exploits in Osun state. As he has promised, citizen’s votes must count, come 2026,” Odeyemi said.
