NIPCO pledges to deepen CNG use for economic growth, cleaner environment

The Managing Director of NIPCO Plc, Mr. Suresh Kumar, has said its partnership with the government to bolster CNG infrastructure nationwide will lead to economic growth and the promotion of a cleaner environment.

Kumar stated this on the sidelines of the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Abuja recently.

He added that the use of CNG will enable more motorists and industrial users to benefit from the environmental friendliness of gas, in addition to crashing both production and cost of refueling.

He added that NIPCO Plc is poised to leverage the full deregulation of the downstream sector to boost its retail expansion drive.

He explained that the company’s partnership with the government to bolster CNG infrastructure nationwide will enable more motorists and industrial users to benefit from the economic and environmental benefits of gas utilization.

“This partnership will drive growth and profitability while prioritizing sustainability and social responsibility,” said the MD.

According to him, the company’s human capital development strategy has been instrumental in achieving its goals. “Our workforce has demonstrated dedication and perseverance, driving the company’s growth trajectory,” said Suresh.

He said the company’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in its efforts to promote CNG as a cleaner alternative to traditional fossil fuels.

Suresh maintained that NIPCO’s future outlook is promising, with plans to optimise processes, reinforce internal controls, and enhance brand visibility.

He emphasised that the company’s commitment to sustainability will continue to drive its growth and success.

Suresh maintained that NIPCO is poised to play a leading role in Nigeria’s energy revolution as part of its key growth strategy.
