It was celebration galore, as members of the Well Watered Garden Tribe community (WWGT) were honoured with awards for their efforts in promoting and advancing the event management business in Nigeria.
With the theme “African Royalty,” this year’s edition of the BusyBee Excellence Awards, which held at The Monarch Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos, rounded off with a gala night where awards were given to top personalities like Olori Sekinat Elegushi, Chief (Mrs.) Nike Davies-Okundaye of Nike Art Gallery, and the trio of Keke, D1 and ID of Prime Time Television/Kennis Music for their outstanding and remarkable efforts towards advancing African culture and the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Convener, BusyBee Event Business Summit, Coach Bisi Sotunde, said: “It has been an amazing year, it’s a good thing to celebrate outstanding heroes in the industry. Kudos to the planning committee for a wonderful job.”
Also speaking, head of corporate sponsorship, 2024 BusyBee Event Business Summit, Adeola Sessii-Traore, said, “It’s all about ‘African Royalty’ and everything is glamorous. From Nigeria to South Africa, to Ghana and the United Kingdom, we are fully represented. The atmosphere is charged for fun and networking.”
A major highlight of the night was a milestone 40th birthday celebration of the convener of BusyBee Event Business Summit, where her husband, QS Bolaji Sotunde, serenaded her, with guests eulogising her, while Senior Pastor Poju Oyemade, of Covenant Christian Centre prayed via a pre-recorded video.
