The National Sports Commission (NSC) has partnered with free-to-air broadcaster What Network to provide Nigerians with live, nationwide coverage of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Under the partnership, What Network has secured the free-to-air broadcast rights for Nigeria, ensuring that Team Nigeria’s campaign will be available live on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), TV Continental (TVC) and other participating terrestrial television stations.
The Games will also be streamed online, allowing fans across the country to follow the action on multiple digital platforms at no cost.
Director General of the National Sports Commission, Hon. Bukola Olopade, described the agreement as a significant milestone in expanding public access to international sporting events and strengthening support for Nigerian athletes.

“Recognising the importance of bringing the Games into every Nigerian home, the National Sports Commission has partnered with What Network to deliver free-to-air coverage of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games,” Olopade said.
“Through this collaboration, every Nigerian will be able to follow Team Nigeria’s journey live and free, celebrating the dedication of our athletes while inspiring the next generation of sporting champions.”
Broadcast coverage will begin with the opening ceremony on July 23 and continue throughout the Games, with all events available live to viewers across Nigeria.
