Two Nigerian companies have unveiled a strategic partnership aimed at improving the treatment landscape for colorectal cancer, one of the world’s most common cancers, while also driving development in Rivers State.
Under the agreement, E5 Energy Services Limited will invest in ZEAB Therapeutic Ltd UK to strengthen research and development efforts focused on healthcare innovation, offering renewed hope in the fight against the disease.
Beyond healthcare, the two firms are also set to launch an eco-tourism project in Rivers State designed to transform a riverine community into a thriving tourist destination capable of rivalling top international attractions.
Dr. Bene Ekine-Afolabi, Managing Director of ZEAB Medical Centre-Nig and ZEAB Therapeutic Ltd UK, said the initiative would boost economic growth and community development across the state.
She added that E5 Energy Services Limited would deploy its technical know-how to build a 10-megawatt independent power system, guaranteeing steady electricity for the eco-tourism centre and nearby facilities in support of sustainable, uninterrupted operations.
Together, the two initiatives reflect E5 Energy’s broader push to drive innovation in healthcare, renewable energy, and infrastructure — reinforcing the company’s role in advancing Nigeria’s long-term socio-economic growth through investment in both life-saving research and community-focused development.
