Nigerian filmmaker Austin Faani celebrates 39th birthday amidst “Red Alert” US success

Celebrated Nigerian filmmaker Austin Faani, the creative force behind the internationally acclaimed movie “Red Alert,” marked his 39th birthday on March 18th with a heartfelt message of gratitude and reflection.

“Happy Birthday to me. I am getting older, thank God,” the director and editor penned, acknowledging the milestone. “I celebrate my last curve on the third floor today, the 18th of March. I thank Almighty God for adding a new year to my age. Most importantly I thank God for CLARITY and PURPOSE.”

Faani’s birthday celebrations coincide with the impressive ongoing American tour of his latest cinematic offering, “Red Alert.”
The fast-paced action thriller has been met with enthusiastic reception since its US premiere on March 9th at the prestigious Angelika Film Center in Dallas.

The Dallas screening was a star-studded affair, drawing a distinguished crowd of glam and royal personalities eager to witness Faani’s directorial prowess.

Produced and directed by the birthday celebrant himself, “Red Alert” boasts a stellar cast including Jide Ekene Achifusi, veteran actors Tina Mba and Alex Usifo, the talented Linda OSIFO, and Faani’s spouse, the sensational actress ChaCha Eke. Adding a special touch to the production is the debut acting performance of their daughter, Kamara Faani.

The movie also enjoys the executive backing of Kizzy Uzoma, a renowned wrestling champion in the United States, who further solidified his involvement by delivering a formidable performance as the character “Ghost” in “Red Alert.”

The momentum for “Red Alert” is set to continue across the United States, with a scheduled second viewing center in Houston on April 26th. Audiences in Atlanta, Maryland, and finally New York in July will also have the opportunity to experience the thrilling narrative.

Nigerian cinema enthusiasts can also look forward to the film’s imminent arrival on local screens.
Born in Nigeria and hailing from Ojoto in Anambra State, Austin Faani’s journey in the film industry began in 2003 under the mentorship of the esteemed TECO BENSON.

Over the years, Faani has carved a niche for himself with his signature fast-paced filmmaking style.

His extensive portfolio includes an impressive catalogue of over a thousand movies which he served as a film editor, and more than thirty directorial credits, featuring notable titles such as “Money and Blood,” “Thorn,” “Bank Job,” “QueensDesire,” “Criminal Widow,” and “The Cartel.”

The release of “Red Alert” in Dallas, Texas, on March 9th marks his latest cinematic triumph.

Away from the director’s chair, Austin Faani is happily married to the celebrated Nigerian actress, Chacha Eke Faani. Their union is blessed with four adorable children – three daughters and one son.
