Nigerian-born artificial intelligence engineer Izunna Agupusi has been honoured with the Africa Illustrious Award, recognising his outstanding contributions to artificial intelligence innovation and global technology advancement.
The award was presented during the Africa Illustrious Awards ceremony held in July 2025 oriental hotels, Victoria island Lagos.

Izunna Agupusi earned the recognition for his growing influence in the global AI ecosystem, particularly his work in embedded artificial intelligence, machine learning, and intelligent systems engineering. He completed a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence in the United Kingdom, where his academic and practical work focused on integrating machine learning models with real-world applications, including robotics and autonomous systems.
