Four Nigerian wrestlers have arrived in Mongolia to participate in the 2026 World Wrestling 3rd Ranking Series, as the Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF) intensifies efforts to strengthen the country’s presence on the global stage, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The team comprises Genesis Mercy Miesinnei (50kg), Ogunsanya Christianah Tolulope (53kg), Kolawole Esther Omolayo (62kg), and Ojo Damola Hannah (76kg).

The quartet departed Nigeria on Monday night aboard Turkish Airlines, marking another important step in their international preparations and exposure.

Leading the delegation is women’s wrestling coach and NWF Technical Committee Chairman, Akuh Purity, who commended the support of NWF President, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, for ensuring that all logistics and participation arrangements were fully covered.

The tournament in Mongolia is expected to provide a strong competitive platform for the Nigerian athletes as they continue their build-up toward major international competitions.
