Hon. Eric Uwakwe, Special Assistant to the Imo State Governor on Youth Development, has urged the United States to partner with Nigeria to address conflicts and promote peace in the region.

Speaking at the 5th African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) Youth Symposium in South Africa, Uwakwe emphasised Nigeria’s crucial role in maintaining regional stability, stating that any threat to the country poses a risk to the entire African continent.

Uwakwe stressed the importance of empowering Africa’s youth, citing them as the continent’s greatest promise and potential.

He commended President Donald Trump for his concern about Nigeria’s peace and thanked President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his efforts in resolving conflicts.

The symposium, themed “Youth in Governance: From Promise to Prosperity,” brought together African leaders to discuss youth empowerment and regional cooperation.

Uwakwe’s call for partnership highlights the need for international cooperation to address conflicts and promote peace in Africa.
