The Nigeria Police have declared Cornellius Chukwuwa Okonkwo, 34, and Chinonso Ezeh wanted following their escape after being apprehended in an alleged same-sex scandal during a security operation in the Agbani community, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.
According to a statement from authorities, both men were initially apprehended in the early hours of January 14, 2024, during a surprise raid on a guest house. The operation was launched based on intelligence concerning general criminal activities at the location.
Eyewitnesses report that officers discovered the two men allegedly naked and involved in homosexual acts in one of the rooms. Following their apprehension, the men were reportedly publicly paraded before being detained for transfer to the police station on January 15, 2024. However, neither suspect was presented to the police as scheduled, and both have since gone into hiding.
