The founder of Solid Rock Kingdom Church, Apostle John Okoriko, has described Nigeria as a haunted nation in view of activities of politicians and other persons who are bent on giving her negative image before other nations of the world.
Speaking in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital on Sunday during an Interactive Service for the month of June, on the theme: “Haunted Houses And Places”, Okoriko explained that Nigeria is haunted by many negative incidents that caused other nations to hate her citizens .
Okoriko who read from the book of Genesis 4 : 1-14 said it was the action of Cain in the scriptures that made God to curse him for killing his brother, Abel and he was haunted throughout his lifetime before he died as a fugitive.
He listed activities of Nigerians that allow the nation to remain haunted as hostilities, yahoo boys, banditry, shedding of innocent blood and immorality.
“Nigeria is poor and immoral in their dealings and many nations refused to relate with us.
“We are living in a time that so many shed blood. This was the reasons many nations were stagnated for many years until other nations took over from them in terms of civilization and technology.
“This ancient nations include Egypt, Greece, Babylon and Roman empires who were sacrificing human blood for royal thrones but were later overtaken by development as other nations emerged and overshadowed them in science and technology.
“Those kings ruled by shedding blood of innocent people on their thrones while others buried their slaves alive in their graves.”
Okoriko disclosed that any family that sheds blood will never succeed as the innocent blood will continue to cry before the Lord seeking for vengeance.
“If you see a family that sheds blood it will take them many years to raise prominent personalities because the wrath of God is on them.
Okoriko who does not believe in existence of Satan and Author of a book titled “Every Satan Has A Human Face,” maintained that evil follow those who perpetrate evil.
“When you do something good, goodness will surely follow you and when you do evil, it will also follow you.”
He said he had lived in haunted houses and places but was not haunted while the owners of houses fled from the buildings.
He warned believers in Christ not to run away from haunted buildings and other property known to have been haunted.
The man of God who was answering questions from online callers explained haunted buildings to be those houses and places that have been abandoned by the owners because of strange experiences in the buildings.
“Don’t run away from haunted houses and places. I even buy them from their owners when they refused to occupy them.
“I will come back to tell you the secret that will help you to live, occupy and owned such buildings,” he said.
