Niger NBA passes vote of confidence on Governor Bago

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Minna Branch has commended the Niger State Governor, Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago for what it described as his remarkable achievements in all areas of infrastructure development in the last year in office.

The association therefore passed a vote of confidence on the governor and his administration for “his tireless efforts toward the development of the state under his New Niger agenda.”

The chairman of the NBA, Minna Branch, Barrister Muhammad Abdulkadir Waziri who stated this during the monthly general meeting of the association in Kontagora, the headquarters of Kontagora local government area of the state on Saturday, said the governor had in one year in office changed the narratives in the area of infrastructure development with over 500 roads both federal, state and township roads under construction.

He pointed out that even the opposition cannot but congratulate the governor for his laudable achievements and for his pragmatic leadership in the last year in office, adding “The governor has shown leadership and capacity to transform the state.”

The NBA chairman urged the governor to sustain the tempo of development he has started, stressing that the Nigerian Bar Association, Minna branch is proud to be associated with his administration’s achievements.

According to him, the vote of confidence underscores the legal community’s recognition of the governor’s impactful policies and initiatives aimed at transforming Niger State.

The NBA chairman also commended the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Barrister Abdulmalik Sarkindaji for accepting to host the NBA monthly general meeting in Kontagora, adding “This is the first time we are conducting this meeting outside Minna, and we are very delighted with the way the Hon. Speaker welcomed us.

“We are delighted with the warm reception and the excellent arrangements made by the Speaker for the gathering, the first of it kind outside Minna,” added.

In his remarks, the Speaker expressed gratitude to the NBA Minna Branch for their endorsement of Governor Bago after his remarkable achievements in office in one year.

“I thank the NBA, Minna Branch for finding the governor of Niger State worthy of your recommendations and vote of confidence. It is heartwarming that the legal community recognized the quality leadership that the Governor has demonstrated in the last year.”

The speaker reminded the legal practitioners that the achievements of the governor is a reflection of the harmonious relationship between the legislative and executive arms of the government in the last one year.
