Oghenekaro Edor, a prominent Niger Delta activist and advocate for good governance, has congratulated Senator Joel Onowakpor on his appointment as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local Content.

Edor, in a statement issued in Abuja, praised Senator Onowakpor’s hard work and dedication to his constituents, noting that his emergence as committee chairman was well-deserved. He highlighted the senator’s resilience and commitment to qualitative representation, particularly in his advocacy for human capital development and mass employment.

He described the Senator as a detribalised Nigerian who has always being at the point of needs to his constituents and Nigerians at large, adding that it therfore means the Senator in his present assignment will speak the voice of Nigerians who have been denied opportunities, a development he said will further enhance and renew the hope of Nigeria in tandem with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Edor, who recently organised a Town Hall Meeting in Udu Delta State where he called on the youths to develop their skills and engage vocational training to takeover the oil industry, said the purpose for creating the Senate Committee on local content under the leadership of Onowakpor would not be defeated.
