A non-governmental organisation, Daramola Dynasty Foundation, has distributed food items and cash support to over 2,000 families in Isara-Remo, Remo North Local Government, Ogun State.
The outreach programme which drew participants and beneficiaries from communities in Isara-Remo witnessed quiz and spelling bee competitions and fun fair for children.
Head of the NGO, Olanrewaju Daramola, disclosed that the initiative was an extension of the foundation’s annual Christmas and New Year food drive.
He explained that the outreach programme supported by corporate partners such as the UAC Foods, Dufil and CWAY, was equally aimed to alleviate food insecurity among the underprivileged households.
He added that the initiative was aimed at ensuring that vulnerable members of the society have food on their tables during the yuletide: “The foundation will continue to focus on meeting basic human needs while strengthening community resilience through consistent year-round interventions.”
He emphasized that the NGO would remain committed to expanding its reach and impact in 2026, urging well-meaning Nigerians and organizations to espouse programmes capable of delivering hope, relief and opportunities to the underserved communities.
Daramola, however, reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to compassion-driven development, emphasizing the importance of caring for the vulnerable communities.
