The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place at the NFF Secretariat in Abuja and will be presided over by NFF President and President of WAFU B Zone, Ibrahim Musa Gusau.

The two committees were constituted during the NFF Extraordinary General Assembly held in Yenagoa last week. A total of 12 members were appointed, with seven serving on the Electoral Committee and five on the Electoral Appeals Committee.

Its responsibilities include organizing, conducting, and monitoring elections during the federation’s Congress.

Those appointed to serve across both committees include Barrister Matthew Burkala, SAN; Hon. Justice C. J. Aneke; Emmanuel Dada Obafemi; Alhaji Babagoni Grema; Barrister Benjamin Sak; Mallam Bature Musa; Prof. Abdulmalik Awwal; Arinze Azubuike Anughere, Esq; Hon. (Dr) Akogun Olugbenga Omole; Abayomi Akin Omoyimi, Esq; Ayibaye Peter Great Temedie, Esq; and Ayi Ekpo Ukpayam.

Thursday’s inauguration formally activates the committees ahead of the NFF Executive Committee elections, which are scheduled to hold in Lafia on September 26, 2026.
