….As Kalu promises to host 2025 WODDI summit

The Chairman/Publisher of The Sun Publishing limited, Barr. Neya Kalu , alongside the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly, have been bestowed with the prestigious Gold Nurturer and Platinum Nurturer awards by the Women of Divine Destiny Initiative ( WODDI) , a Non Governmental Organisation founded by Mrs Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, Phd, former First Lady of Imo state.
This is even as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, has promised to host the 2025 WODDI Summit.
Speaking at the grand finale of the Summit tagged ” The Power of Inspired Women “held at the Rochas Foundation College of Africa, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu expressed joy to be part of the closing ceremony of 2nd WODDI inspiring women summit.
Hon kalu noted that the WODDI summit 2024 has not only been a platform for sharing knowledge and experience, but a catalyst for self- discovery , confidence building and embracing the holistic well-being of women .
He disclosed that the House Of Representatives is considering a bill to Improve the represention of women in legislative institutions which is chiefly sponsored by him.
He promised to host the 2025 WODDI summit in Abia State to enable the women in Abia State participate fully in the programme.
Also ,Speaking the Plateau State House Assembly Speaker , Rt Hon .Gewan Commended the founder of WODDI , Mrs Nkechi Okorocha for organising such a wonderful event.
Hon Gewan said that the Award will encourage him to contribute more towards the welfare of women in the society .
In earlier in her brief speech , Mrs Nkechi Okorocha thank God for the success of the 2024 WODDI event and thank the personalities that attended the event.
” We are awards to those who have been helping us . We want to restore the culture of gratitude which is lacking today”.
Mrs Okorocha said that she is passionate about women and family, adding that the 5 days event will go a long way to inspiring women in every area .
Adding his Voice the former Governor of Imo State,Owelle Rochas Okorocha pointed out that women deserve more respect, recognition and Empowerment in the society.
Awardees were , Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State House of Assemblies , Rt Hon . Adebo Ogundoyin, Dr Uchechukwu Ogar, Chairman ,Masters Energy, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu , former Chief of Staff Imo State Government House, Ucy Rochas , DG Rochas Foundation.
Others are the former First Ladies of Enugu State, Mrs Monica Ugwuanyi, Nasarawa , Mrs Mairo Al – Makura , Taraba state – Mrs Anna Darius Ishaku, Benue- Erdoo Ortom , kwara – Mrs Omolewa Ahmed and Mrs Rachael Umahi of Ebonyi State.
