As part of efforts to promote academic excellence and entrepreneurship among undergraduates in Nigeria, no fewer than 15 students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, have received scholarships and business grants from a faith-based organisation, Next-Gen Xpression,
The beneficiaries were announced recently during the maiden edition of the Kingdomite Conference held at the Oduduwa Hall of the university.
According to the organisers, 10 students were awarded scholarships covering the payment of their school fees, alongside long-term academic support throughout their stay in the institution. In addition, five students received business grants of ₦200,000 each to establish small-scale enterprises, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 15.

The conference attracted students, youth leaders, and faith-based advocates, centred on leadership development and purpose discovery.
Speaking during the programme, the Founder of Next-Gen Xpression and Convener of the Kingdomite Conference, Mr Kenny Williams, said the initiative was designed to equip young people to thrive beyond the confines of religious gatherings.
