Norrenberger Research has announced plans to launch the Nigerian Corporate Sustainability Report (NCSR), a pioneering benchmarking tool designed to assess and track sustainability performance across publicly listed companies in Nigeria.
The report, scheduled for unveiling on Tuesday, in Abuja, is expected to introduce a structured, data-driven framework for evaluating how firms perform across key environmental, social and governance (ESG) indicators.
With the theme, “Strengthening Sustainable Practices in Corporate Nigeria,” the launch event will bring together senior executives, regulators, investors and policy leaders at a time when sustainability considerations are gaining increasing prominence in investment decisions and corporate strategy.
According to Norrenberger Research, the NCSR goes beyond voluntary disclosures, offering a measurable and standardised approach to evaluating corporate sustainability.
The report is expected to highlight both progress made by companies and critical areas requiring improvement across various sectors.

Speaking ahead of the launch, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Norrenberger, Tony Edeh, said the initiative aims to transform how sustainability is assessed and discussed in Nigeria’s corporate landscape.
“For too long, sustainability has been discussed without a consistent basis for measurement. What this report does is introduce a level of transparency and accountability that allows performance to be assessed more objectively,” he said.
Edeh added that the report would contribute to ongoing conversations around corporate governance, responsible business practices and long-term value creation within the private sector.
The launch event will feature a public presentation of the report, keynote addresses and a panel discussion focused on integrating sustainability into corporate strategy.
Analysts say that as both global and domestic investors increasingly incorporate ESG considerations into their decision-making, tools that provide comparable and standardised data will become more critical in shaping capital flows and business conduct in Nigeria.
The Nigerian Corporate Sustainability Report is expected to be published annually, providing a consistent benchmark for tracking sustainability performance and encouraging improved corporate practices over time.
