From Desmond Mgboh, Kano
Members of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) who converged at Calvary Life Assembly, Kano State, on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, were excited as they kept a date with history.
They had walked up to the Lord, expectant and from different parts of the state. The gathering was for the inauguration of their new state executive members led by Elkanah Enweluzor.
The hall was decorated with flowers and enlivened with worship and praise songs as the congregation awaited the delegation assigned to officiate the inauguration from the PFN headquarters.
For the outgoing state PFN chairman, Bishop Ralph Olowo and his family, it was yet another special day. Eight years of journey as the servant-leader has not been easy. His tenure saw challenges and conquered obstacles.
He was full of praises to God for giving him the grace to serve His children. He lauded PFN National President, Bishop Wale Oke; members, National Executive; National Advisory Council and others for their support:
“Accepting one another is producing unity and love, peace and harmony within and outside our family as Christ led and thought us. Though we may be differed in opinion on many occasions but we need to embrace and bear for ourselves.
“Always learn to accept, endure and embrace others with love and let there will be peace in our home and in the land that God gave to us.
Doing this will please and bring praises to God. What we do in life echoes in eternity.”
The new chairman, Reverend Elkanah Enweluzor, said: “I am short of words. I want to thank you for being here for us. I am standing on behalf of my colleagues, the new executive and I assure you that we shall deliver.”
He recalled that working under Olowo has been very helpful: “This has prepared me well enough for this new assignment.”
