Mrs. Yetunde Ilori, the newly elected President/Chairman of the Council of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), has outlined a visionary agenda focused on capacity building, innovation, and ethical practices during her tenure as the 52nd President.

Speaking at the Institute’s secretariat in Lagos, Mrs. Ilori emphasized the importance of collaboration with critical stakeholders in the insurance industry to achieve her set goals. She expressed confidence that with collective effort, her vision under the theme “Igniting the bedrock of our envisioned industry” can be realized.

Underpinning her agenda is the EPIC framework, symbolizing Education, Professionalism, Institutional Recognition, and Capacity Building. Mrs. Ilori explained that EPIC encapsulates CIIN’s commitment to enhancing educational programs, fostering innovation, and promoting ethical standards across the Nigerian insurance sector.

Mrs. Ilori highlighted strategic initiatives, including the adoption of e-Education, promotion of high professional standards, and the establishment of a robust institution. She emphasized the importance of specialized knowledge in areas such as marine and aviation insurance, aiming to enhance expertise through targeted training programs.

Moreover, CIIN plans to engage the diaspora, invest in future talents through scholarship programs, and offer internship opportunities to nurture young professionals. Mrs. Ilori assured stakeholders of CIIN’s dedication to becoming a catalyst for positive industry transformation, elevating professional standards, and solidifying the Institute’s reputation as a beacon of excellence.
