New Anambra airport: Eze Igbo Mekong Ezeneche commends Gov Obiano

The Eze Ndigbo Mekong River,South East Asia, HRH Jerome Uzochukwu Ezeneche has commended the governor of Anambra State, Dr Willie Obiano and the good people of Anambra state on the commissioning and maiden flight to the new Anambra international cargo airport, Umueri.

In a statement, the royal  father who spoke from Bangkok Thailand said the airport would boost economic activities in the south east region.

While urging other South East governors to emulate Governor Obiano’s giant stride, HRH Ezeneche said with the comisisioning of the airport, goods can now be freighted from any part of the world directly into Igbo heartland.

On the effect of the project on Ndigbo in the Diaspora, the royal father who has attracted numerous investors to Nigeria said this is a boost to Igbo agenda of  ‘aku ruo uno.’ He said with the international cargo airport, Nigerians of South East origin can now move their goods to the Igboland with ease.

On the issue of security, HRH Ezeneche urges the South East governors to close rank in tackling the challenges headlong. He said without security, the good objectives of the airports  can not be realized. Ezeneche call on the Eastern Security Network (ESN) and Ebubeagu to close rank in fighting insecurity in the region.

Furthermore, Ezeneche urges the Federal government to fully recognize the airport as international gateway to complement the Port Harcourt and Enugu Airport. He said with this measure, south east  will grow economically and contribute to the task of national development.
