The Neighborhood Watch Association of Uzo Uwani Local Government Area, Enugu State, has praised the executive chairman of the council, Hon. Chijioke Joseph Ezugwu, for his remarkable strides in enhancing security, infrastructure, and grassroots governance.
In a joint statement signed by Dr. Anayo Odimkpa, Coordinator of Local Security Operatives and Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman on Security Matters, and Hon. Pius Odum, ADC to the Chairman and Head of the Neighborhood Watch in Igboano Development Centre, the group commended Ezugwu for his “outstanding dedication” to the development of the rural LGA.

Reiterating their earlier endorsement, the group highlighted Ezugwu’s efforts in improving security and expanding infrastructure, noting the significant impact his administration has had across the communities in the area.
“Within just one year in office, your administration has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the overall development of Uzo Uwani. Your proactive approach to tackling insecurity and your investment in road infrastructure have brought meaningful progress to our people,” the statement read.
The Neighborhood Watch further emphasized that Ezugwu’s leadership has not only restored public trust in local governance but has also set a new benchmark for rural development.
“Your accomplishments in just one year will continue to serve as a source of inspiration and guidance. Congratulations once again, and best wishes as your administration forges ahead,” the group concluded.
Ezugwu, a lawyer and advocate for development, assumed office as Chairman of Uzo Uwani LGA in September 2024.
