The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), is set to host the 34th annual Omolayole management lecture series, in a bid to develop Nigeria’s human capital for economic revitalisation and transformation.
Speaking at a conference held in Lagos, the Director General (Designate) NECA, Timothy Olawale, said that the event, slated for September 27, has the Executive Chairman, Philips Consulting Limited, Mr. Foluso Philips, as the keynote speaker.
He will proffer insights on critical management issues in developing Nigeria’s human capital.
“Human capacity building is very critical in the country and the Omolayole management lecture series is unmatched in the quality of education, insight generation, strategic networking and professional best practice development it delivers. Thus, making it the foremost must-attend management and economic development event in Nigeria which is held annually in honour of Dr. Michael Omolayole, chairman/director (past and present) of several multinational companies”.

“The annual lecture is an avenue for the exclusive gathering of over 300 senior executives, chief executive officers of multinationals, heads of strategy, financial institutions, social entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations and corporate organiaations from diverse sectors to discuss key issues, originate new ideas and learn about the key role of management and economic development as a strategic tool for increasing national and organisations’ capability to perform and succeed in this dynamic world”, Olawale noted.
Also, the Registrar, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Mrs Ajibola Ponnle, stated that Nigeria is blessed with the other factors of production, however, the missing link in the economy is human capital, which the lecture is tailored to address.
