The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has expressed deep sorrow over the aircraft crash in Ondo State, which claimed the lives of personnel of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and others.
In a letter of condolence to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the agency’s Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd), extended its sympathies to the Air Force leadership, officers and men and women of the service, and to the families of the deceased.
Marwa described the news of the crash as devastating and said it was received with profound grief. He commended the NAF for its consistent display of patriotism, gallantry and unwavering commitment to the defence and security of the nation.
According to him, the loss of officers who dedicated their lives to national service is a heavy blow, not only to the Air Force but to the entire country and the national security community.
“In this moment of deep sorrow, our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families of the fallen heroes, as well as the entire NAF family,” he said, praying that God would comfort the bereaved, strengthen the Air Force and grant the departed eternal rest.
Marwa also assured the NAF of the warm regards and solidarity of all NDLEA officers, men and women during this difficult period.
