NDLEA arrests 52 suspects in Kano, reiterates commitment to drug free society

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kano Strategic Office , has arrested a total of 52 suspects , including the seizure of assorted illicit substances.

 

The arrest followed the raids of various drug spots in the state.

The arrest followed the launch of “Operation Sharar Mafaka” , which is a sustained drug campaign to dislodge and occupy notorious drug joints in the metropolis of the state.

Daily Sun reports that “Operation Sharar Mafaka” which commenced on the 27th of April , 2026 had targeted over 20 known drug locations.

A statement by the PublicRelations Officer of the NDLEA Kano Strategic Office, Sadiq Mohammed Mai gatari explained that operatives have so far raided the infamous Filin Iddi dens, Tashar Rami, fagge, Abbattior and Farm Center adding that further raids were conducted on April 28 in Hotoro, fly over, Mariri park, Ramin Jirga Tishama ,Yankaba and Audu bako secretariat.

Speaking on the operation of the arrest, the State Commander , DY Lawal said that his officers were resolved to dislodge the criminal joints, seize the exhibits and arrest the suspects, including occupying such joints and premises until normalcy is restored.

He reiterated the commitment of the agency towards enforcement, community engagement and partnership with citizens to eliminate drug related activities in the state.
