The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kano Strategic Command has arrested 21 suspects during a coordinated raid of various locations and joints in the state.
A statement released on Sunday and signed by Sadiq Mohammed Maigatari, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, disclosed that they also recovered assorted illicit substances and dangerous locally-made weapons during the operations.
Among the joints and locations raided were Filin Idi drug den, Hotoro area, Mariri, Fagge, Farm Center, and Zaria Road
The statement held that items recovered during the raidsincluded Cannabis Sativa, pregabalin, cough syrup containing codeine and rubber solution (inhalant) as well as various locally-made weapons

it added that the suspects who had attempted to attack officers with locally-made weapons were tactically disarmed and taken into custody.
Investigations are ongoing to identify principal drug dealers and to build cases for prosecution” the statement disclosed.
The NDLEA Kano Strategic Command reaffirmed its commitment to the eradication of illegal drug activities and the protection of the state’s youths and communities.
The Command called on the members of the public to support ongoing efforts by providing credible information and cooperating with law enforcement.
