The late Mr. Sunday Ndidi, father of Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi, will be laid to rest on today in Umunede, Delta State.
Ahead of the burial ceremony, a delegation from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Thursday visited the midfielder in Asaba, the Delta State capital, to formally convey the condolences of the Nigerian football family.
Presenting a letter of condolence to the player, NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, expressed the heartfelt grief and sympathy of the Federation over the passing of Mr. Ndidi.

He noted that the NFF and the entire football community stand firmly with the Super Eagles captain and his family during this period of mourning.
The delegation included NFF Executive Committee Member, Nse Essien; Chairman of the Delta State Football Association, Godwin Adode; NFF Director of Media and Communications, Dr. Ademola Olajire; as well as board members of the Delta State Football Association.
