Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi has returned to Istanbul from Nigeria, as he participated in training ahead of the Göztepe match
Ndidi was on leave due to his father’s funeral in Nigeria. Sunday Ndidi, was laid to rest in Umunede in Delta State, as family members, friends and well-wishers gathered to pay their final respects.
The experienced midfielder reportedly returned to Türkiye after the funeral arrangements were completed.

After a two-day break, the black-and-white team began preparations for the Göztepe match in the Trendyol Super League, with the coaching staff aiming to increase their options in midfield with Ndidi’s return.
It was stated that morale is high at Beşiktaş and that preparations for the Göztepe match are planned to continue with almost a full squad.
