The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has rescheduled the unveiling and inauguration of its National Campaign Council (NCC) from Tuesday, October 20, to Monday, October 26.
It attributed the change in date to the tight schedule of its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who has an important overseas engagement.
The National Publicity Secretary of the NDC, Osa Director, announced the postponement in a statement issued on Monday, October 19.

“The NDC leadership has announced a new date for the unveiling and inauguration of its National Campaign Council (NCC) earlier slated for Tuesday, 20th October, 2026. The event will now be held on Monday, 26th October, 2026,” the statement said.
The party apologised for any inconvenience the adjustment might cause and urged its members and supporters to remain focused on its electoral objectives.
It said the postponement should not distract party faithful from the task of securing victory for Obi and other NDC candidates in the forthcoming presidential and general elections.
